iWE is a software startup developing a low code platform able to generate case management applications without any IT coding. We are a team of 20 young professionals, coming from all over the world but driven by the same passion for technology and innovation.

 

Purpose of this internship

As a case management applications platform, iWE handles sensitive personal information about their clients and, having the main clients in the insurance sector, the protection of our clients’ privacy and especially their sensitive personal information becomes a key in the security strategy of iWE. Furthermore, in the context of the GDPR, the protection of personal data in case of security breach and the right to oblivion becomes mandatory and it should be enforced by design.

If you enjoy having responsibilities and working autonomously (while getting support from our development team whenever needed), you'll feel right at home at iWE. One thing is certain: you will work on a real value-added project for us.

 

Your main tasks:

  • Study how to implement personal and sensitive data privacy in iWE using anonymization or pseudonymization techniques to allow secure data analytics and protect personal information in sensitive claims management and in case of security breach.

  • Implement   a   Proof-of-Concept of the designed solution allowing to anonymize or pseudonymize sensitive data.

  • End up with a Working Prototype providing enforced data privacy integrated in  iWE platform.

Technologies/Challenges 

  • Data Encryption, anonymization and pseudonymization techniques

  • Microservices architecture

Desired Skills and experience

  • Currently enrolled in an IT Engineering School (preferred level: Master 2- End of Studies)

  • Strong knowledge on cryptography. Knowledge on anonymization or pseudonymization techniques is a plus.

  • API Rest and JavaScript knowledge is a plus

  • Passion for coding

  • Curiosity and autonomy
